I grew up in rural farming communities across the U.S., where I first witnessed the power of science through my father’s work with researchers to test new ideas on our land. That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest in how science can be applied to help people thrive.
I trained in top medical centers—including Stanford, the VA Palo Alto, and John Muir—and now specialize in helping adults manage stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and relationship struggles. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Gottman Method, always tailoring treatment to the individual.
Clients often describe me as collaborative, thoughtful, and deeply committed to meaningful progress. My work begins with understanding your unique experience and building a plan that supports lasting change.
Outside the office, I live in a rural area with my husband and four dogs. I spend my free time gardening, cooking, and traveling—often blending all three through cooking classes around the world.

I have been a licensed Clinical Psychologist in California since 2004, and have a broad range of experience. I've done research with infants studying temperament and early markers of depression, worked in forensic settings, elementary schools, skilled nursing facilities, community mental health centers, hospital and medical settings, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs with adolescents and adults, and several colleges and universities.
I grew up in Texas, studied in Austin, and trained at some of the most rigorous clinical and research programs in the country—including a neuroscience fellowship at the NIH, a clinical internship at the Palo Alto VA, and a postdoc at Stanford Medical School. My early research focused on fetal alcohol syndrome and later transitioned into addiction treatment, where I trained under Bill Miller, one of the founding voices in modern addiction therapy.
But this work is also personal. My father struggled with alcohol, and his drinking had a profound impact on my childhood. I coped by diving into the science—seeking to understand what he went through, and how others could be helped. That path led me here.
Today, my work is rooted in evidence-based practices and deep empathy. I specialize in helping individuals and families affected by addiction using approaches like Motivational Interviewing, CBT, CRAFT, and medication-assisted treatment. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered. My goal is to help you reconnect with your values and build lasting change—at a pace that feels right for you.
Outside of work, you’ll find me snowboarding, weightlifting, swimming, gardening succulents, making soup, or hanging out at the dog park. I’m also a mom to two boys and love spending time with my husband and family.
